Earl H. Eye, MD is board certified in internal medicine with specialty boards held in infectious diseases, critical care and pulmonary medicine. He also has completed Physician Training & Certification in Age Management Medicine, jointly sponsored by Cenegenics Education and Research Foundation (CERF) and the Foundation for Care Management (FCM). Dr. Eye earned his medical degree from the University of West Virginia – School of Medicine, graduating cum laude. He completed an internal medicine internship at Montefiore Hospital (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania), followed by a residency at the University of Florida-Shands Hospital in Jacksonville and an Infectious Disease Fellowship. From 1975 to 2008, Dr. Eye was senior partner at the Clinic for Pulmonary and Infectious Diseases, an eight-physician practice with a 25,000 patient base. He was an associate professor at the Jacksonville Hospital Education Program (University of Florida-Shands Hospital), chairman of the Infectious Disease Committee at Jacksonville’s Methodist Hospital and director of the Wesley Manor Nursing Home’s Intensive Care Unit. He also served in the National Guard as Unit Physician, from 1970 to 1976. Regularly invited to lecture on preventive medicine, Dr. Eye has written several published articles on healthy practices. In 2004, he established EWellnessPro, a health and wellness practice—and then was trained and certified in age management medicine, adding the specialty to his established practice in 2005. Dr. Eye received the 2007, 2008 and 2009 awards for Jacksonville Magazine’s Top Doctors. On staff at seven Jacksonville-area hospitals, he belongs to many professional associations: Florida Medical Association, American Society for Microbiology, American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, the American College of Physicians, American Medical Association, Florida Lung Association, Infectious Disease Society, Florida Medical Association and Age Management Medical Group.
